sweet man, sounds like some good deals goin on here... im surprised youre using the 1.5 rockers... i usually go for 1.6, free hp without sacrificing the power curve.

1.94's, hah thats a good one. keep it small for high velocity!!!

I'm just running all motor, probably like 450hp @ 6500rpm, so the Chinese cast steel should take it. I'm gonna let nelson balance my whole assembly before I stick it in the motor.

Now the question is, do I stick with the 300/300 duration, .600/.600 lift cam and generate peak TQ @ 5000 rpm and peak HP @ 6500rpm, or do I rock a 294/300 duration, .540/.562 cam and lower the TQ to 4500rpm and HP to 6000rpm? Would the slight torque increase, 5-10 ftlbs, be worth losing 5-10hp over? I think the overall grunt and starting TQ of the second cam may be better.

well, if you can find dyno graphs of both cam profiles, that would be the best way to make a decision. even if you sacrifice peak torque, its possible to gain it everywhere else under the curve.

the last dyno session i tuned our car on only gained about 6hp from the last session but it had more torque across the entire RPM range, despite marginal peak gains.

I hope you are not switching from a forged crank to a cast one. An old reground forged crank would be a whole lot better than some new cheapie cast crank.
