Topgear to be shown in the U.S.?

Supposedly Discovery Channel is picking up the show. Hopefully it lasts and I dont have to scour the web for downloads of the latest episodes anymore.

The only thing I wonder about is that the UK version is 60 solid minutes of programming. How would they show that over here? 1.5 hours with commercials?

If you read the link, you will see that they are filming special episodes for the discovery channel. Looks like we won't be getting the UK version.

I hope so, they better run all the old episodes too. I'm sure alot of people will be in the dark once it airs.

5th gear is already on the Speed channel for those who enjoy Tiff drifting everything from an Elise to a Hyundai SantaFe.

"5th Gear" just isnt the same as top gear...at ALL...its almost "lacking" in comparison...the biggest reason is that theres no Jeremy..overall teh show is just not the same.

I say its aboot damn time that it came here!!!
