General Car Chat Talk about cars in general. All makes and models - strictly car discussion.

If building a car was artwork, IMO this is a masterpiece...

I tend to drive it more than she does. 7 Years because thats at least as long as I'd like my Mk3 to last. I dont ever want to sell it, but we'll see how long that lasts I calculated that I'd have like $25 bare minimum after heavy gas usage, minimum wage ($6.15) 15 hours a week, plus chores at home. Local car wash has openings, I'm planning on checking them out.

Unlike other people. F&F didnt have any effect on me. I started looking a year or two ago for affordable cars that could go, and I eventually came up with the Mk3. Dont know how many people you know like the Mk3, let alone is obsessed with an "older outdated version" of a Supra

Care to elaborate on the physics behind that, or finish it to be a more complete statement that holds water?

I like Spoon SW388's and all replica's.

I plan on getting some replica's for my car..I like them very mucho. Clean, simple, lightweight, pretty.

The 240 on Ebay was nice but..I don't think it's worth the 17k buy it now price by any means.

Show me a part of that statement that doesn't hold water? You try to prove my statement wrong, and I'll prove it right by facts thus proving you wrong. If you want to have a depate I will be more then happy to prove my points but otherwise I'll just leave it at that unless someone has a problem with it or wants to try to prove me wrong. Work for it man

I don't know everything though and I like it when people argue cause it shows there are different opinions and views out ther and I might be wrong(which happens to be the case sometimes) so it's all good to me. I just like to have little debates sometime instead of just telling everything and the discussion being over. Car Talk not Car Class

Yeah, I too like debating. I love it when we occasionally have a debate on TR where no feathers fly, just a true hard debate.

But anyways you have plenty more experience than me and nobody has come up to say something.

Well, I'm not going to put a lot of effort into it until you clarify some things.

This thread is about a streetable car that handles.

What kind of car are you talking about?

Traction has nothing to do with wheel size and everything to do with tire contact patch and a MILLION other variables.

If you think traction has nothing to do with wheel size then you have alot to learn. Wheel size also comes into factor witht he ratio of rpm's of the motor to the rpm of the tire surface and so forth.

So you are telling me pretty much every person that runs 9s or less in the 1/4 mile all use 15" rims for the hell of it.

And Yes I am talking about traction in the state of drag racing, not roadcourse racing or auto-x or anything else.
