Is it just me, or does that not look too bad. I mean, he didn't roll it or bend it in half! Sure he needs another $5k wheel, $3k rotor and some other hardware, but it looks like there wasn't anything in that space before. Come to think of it, isn't that where the side vent for the intercooler is? That's a 20-30k claim, and its as good as new.

You're right, it doesn't look too bad. It's fixable, but it will be 100K easy. Unless you Bondo.

the big difference between a mustang with 100K and a 600K porsche is that the mustang is not a porsche...

Besides, by the time you made a Mustang that could hang at Sebring with a 600hp Porsche the only thing "Mustang" on it would be the badging and you'd have $600K invested.
Whoop dee fuckin doo. As I said, I'm not impressed by people who drive high dollar sports cars. I have absolutely no need/want/desire to ever purchase a vehicles such as this, so why would I be "owned"?

I'm still under the firm belief that any run of the mill Mustang could be built well under $600k to hang with this vehicle. Thanks go Griggs, we now have a SLA front suspension available...so the Mustang can be made into something very competitive on the course.

But regardless of which side we take, nothing could ever be proven. Chances are we'll never even see one of these cars out on Sebring because owners are either: A) collecting them for storage in an air conditioned garage, or B)wrecking them (as illustrated above).

While I am not for a second going to try to compare a mustang/F-body to this car, I too, don't see the big deal if someone wrecks one. Would you guys feel better if these cars were locked away in a private collection somewhere so you couldn't even hope to see them? At least these people took them out and drove them, while it seems a big deal to some of us because we may feel we can never obtain one, I am sure to them it is no different than wrecking my Buick would be to me. His new car is probably already on the way.

Why?

The owner of a nice Mustang or F-body put tons of hard work and the cliche "blood, sweat, and tears" into his/her pride and joy. The owner of a six-figure car cut a check for a status symbol...which can easily be owned by the above mentioned Mustang or F-body for a small fraction of the price.

and the owner of the 400,000 car didnt go to school for 6 or more years and stay up all the time studying ? i mean come on lets say your a good doctor you make over 250,000 a year would you want to show up in a fox body mustang?

Yup. Why? Because I don't feel the need to impress anyone else.

My house and garage would be a completely different story.
