I just called and asked about my refund I have not yet received and they said they will process it today We will see if that happens.

 

That's a shame, it's been mostly good reviews up until now. Hopefully they see this and do something to help you out with it, to try to maintain their reputation. We'll have to see what their reply here is.

 

that sucks about the poor the customer service, i hope everything works out for you. and while the customer service sounds terrible im sure they have a valid reason for mis-quote. usually a quote is just that, a quote, a non-firm price, an estimate. so im surprized that it is different. what probably happened is that they were mis-quoted by the shipping company.

i work for an insurance company and have to explain to people every day that a quote is a non-firm estimate. 99.9% of the time its the customers fault for not telling us about all their violations.

i feel your pain, but im sure there is more to this story. and some of the things that you are getting mad at engine lab about, may be no fault of their own. never the less, it does sound like they are lacking in the customer service department.

 

accord95 I understanding what you are saying. In the business I work for I coordinate trucks for pallet pick-ups numerous times a week. I have not once paid more for a shipment than the quote. Seldom the bill will come in for more than the original quote and you simply call the company re-fax them the quote and the problem is taken care of.

To add. Looking at the invoice last night, it states: NO WARRANTY ON ANY PREFORMANCE WORK. So I guess in any situation they are not required to fix the work if there is a problem

and 100-150 for shipping to 539 is a HUGE jump.

 

Yeah engine labs...My absolute favorite place in the world...They rebuilt my engine...charged me $6000.00. Talked to dave about everything (Dave is a great and very knowledgable guy) thing that sticks out in my head the most is

Me- What plugs are you going to put in it?
Dave- On an import like that i wouldnt put anything other then NGK plugs in it.

Long story short changed plugs couple months after....FUCKING Autolites..Dont believe that was dave swindling me tho.

When i picked up the car the tach would flop all over the place past 9k(redline 7.3). The blow off valve wasnt connected properly, and boost gauge i fixed myself. Had i actually known about my platform back then i would have completley gone a different route.. I just dont appreciate being lied too repeatedly..

Another thing that abso-fucking-lutly pissed me off....I paid 6000.00 to get the engine rebuilt, it took 1.5 months...They give it back to me on an empty tank!!!! Unfucking believable.

Susan is also by far one of the most unpleasant, Two-faced people i know. She would talk down to me like i was an idiot because i was barely 17 at the time...but should my father walk in through the door...night and fucking day..

I borught it back probably a week later (after the 500 mile check up) and said it was running alittle rough...Charged me a 100 dianostic fee...for the next 3 visits this happend...honestly i could justify it if i had spent alittle money to get my lifters cleaned or something...would not go out of their way to anything for me, one visit i they popped my hood(didnt turn the car on or anything) looked at it for all of 10 min charged me 100 and sent me on my way.

Also one of the techs(im assuming) Stole the taser that was in my car...i had a 500,000 volt stun baton, basically an ungodly stun gun cost $80.00 stolen..but since they have a little sign "Not responsible for any items stolen broken blah blah blah" they're not reliable..Which enables the techs to browse through and call dibs on whatever they want out of my car.How is it gone, when apprently they locked the car nightly while it sat on the lot. Which leaves two options. 1. An employee shanghi-ed my taser or 2. Taser was stolen by someone else due to neglagence of staff not locking up the car.Unless, they crawled through the firewall to get to it...

Overall,6000.00 poorly running car, stolen taser, paid for high quality items received shit items instead(Autolites...). I would not take my car back to that place even for free warranty work, even tho they have tried to squirm out of it in the past.

Engine labs has very impressive equipment, Some techs(Willie and cant remember other guys name), and a great owner(Dave)..But i wouldnt trust them past fords and hondas.( or even trust them theiving fucks).

 

Still no comment from the peanut gallery (i.e. Tony). What gives man? Maybe you can clear things up and save face for Engine Labs.
