still need to do some more tuning and tweaking but for a stock long block, tranny (open-diff!) and axles the car is doing just fine. The stock clutch gave out last week and was replaced by a higher capacity unit, im impressed the stocker took my many 12 sec runs, 45k miles of daily abuse by my friend and countless dyno runs. its just another neon..

The yellow skittle came out of the blue, and lined up with me for my last run of the day. I was lined up to run the turbo VW. Did someone try to set me up for an ass whooping or what? 
It was pretty quick (I was impressed)....but next time you fellas pull a stunt like that, you're getting SPRAYED!

its getting there and i'd like to have it done before the track closes for the short winter break. Ive put off my projects to help my friend out when i feel my help is no longer needed i'll step aside and resume my ongoing work.

dont think he was trying to pull a fast one, he actually spent the day wondering what lanes to use until i told him the 5/6 are for grudge matches. I dont think he had anyone ask to run him.

I've always told myself that the only person who I have to make happy is myself and I did! 
I got my SOHC 1.6 motor down to a 15.23 beating the other single cams that were built in the shop with mine. With some race gas (I have high compression, very high) and advancement in timing I believe I could get this car to a 14.9.
my_baby_si did a 13.8 on drag radials with her LHT GSR Turbo.
It was fun to watch everyone run that day, especially Susan with her fastest ET of the day!

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.
