It has been confirmed through 2 different sources that there is an MKV supra in the works. Just posting this here because all the other threads have been saying that there isnt a new Supra coming out.
So far this has been confirmed:
It will be called Supra. Two models will be offered, Base ($30Kish) and GT model ($50Kish, V8 ). All this was straight out of a District Sales manager for TRD, USA.
There is a prototype driving around CA right now, a fellow supra owner has already put some miles on the GT model..... everything is on the hush for now... but its interesting to see that all the rumors are becoming reality

Quote from hush-hush TRD rep: "The new '05 Tundra V8 has VVTi and gained 42hp. You will be hard-pressed to find a smoother-running V8. The Toyota V8 is super-reliable, and as evidenced by Ivan Stewart and Matt Scranton, is capable of lots of power under boost."
No pics avaliable yet, Dan is going to get some pictures from the TRD rep supposedly and post them on SF, if he does I will post them here
Another thing to remember, since it has been said that there will be no MKV for such a long time and now the story has change..... it was the same thing back then when the MKIV came out, it was being said that there would be no more Supra...

Regardless of who anyone knows at TMC or TRD, the president of Toyota (yes, from Japan) was at our new dealership grand opening dinner. When our owner asked him "will there be a new Supra", he replied with a simple "yes". The president of Toyota North America was at a similar function in Wisconsin recently. He was also asked the same question by our owner. His response was another "yes".
