Stroker options for the 4G63:
2.3 stroker- take the 100mm crank from the 2.4, put it in your 2.0 block with stock length 4g63 rods and stroker pistons with the pin moved up.

2.4 Hybrid- get a 4g64/g64b 2.4 liter, stock length 4g63 rods and 2.4 hybrid pistons, put a dohc head on the sucker. Transfer basically everything from the 2.0 to the 2.4, figure out something for the timing belt/ cam gears.

2.4 long rod- do the same as above, but get longer rods from Magnus Motorsports with 2.4 long rod pistons with the pin moved up, for a slightly better rod ratio.

2.1 high-rev stroker- get a 2.4 block, put the 88mm crank from the 2.0 in it, put some really long rods from Magnus in it with 2.4 pistons (they may be custom for the 2.1, I'm not sure), rev the sucker to the moon. Bottom end is probably good for 11k+ at this point.

stroker kits will last just as long, they run at lower rpm ranges compared to a stock engine or destroked engine.but then u throw cams in the mix and it changes your rpms around depending on the grind of the cam,but if u want more low and mid end tq go with it if your looking to rev the shit out of it and want more h.p in your high end destroke it.it really comes down to what your are looking to do with the car that the engine is going in.

De-stroke a 2.0L...that'd be awesome
Stroker kits for domestic are fairly foolproof... as long as you get them accuratley balanced. The biggest problem with them is they change the geometry of your bottom end.. piston to rod angles and rod to crank angles can become severe putting undue loads on the rods/crank journals.
As for block machining, I was able to go from a 4" crank to a 4.25" crank without machining the block at all... increasing my displacement a whopping 35 cubes The motor stills wings right up to 7 grand. A lot of the negatives you hear are just that. Hearsay

You could destroke a 4g63 using the crank from a 4g61 and longer rods, but I don't see what the point would be when you could stay above 2 liters doing the same thing with a 4g64 and a 4g63 crank. And the 4g64 2.4 hybrids can rev pretty well, too, Magnus revs them to at least 8500 rpm, higher now, I believe. They recommend keeping the revs to 8k or below for street reliability.

I had a stroker kit on the Chevelle and never had any problems with it.
