s2000 vs 350z
I'm interested in getting one of these cars.
the s2000 is an 01 with 30K miles titanium ext $21,000
the 350z is an 03 with 24K miles black ext $23,000
what are the pros and cons on both of these vehicles?
I drove them both and I like them both but the 350z felt "cheap" in the inside but you can feel the torque and the s2000 being a 4 cyl drove pretty good.

i just think of the s2k as the more fun to drive of the two. not any real concrete reason. wouldn't say that one car is better than the other, necessarily.

I am with the S2000 on this one... i just feel that the S2000 will last longer than a 350z and you wil be able to depend on it more than you would with the 350z and on one more note i think the S2000 is way more sexier lookin than the other two cars that you posted up above

the z has a much nicer interior than the s2000, and for stock for stock the z will win in a 1/4 mile race, the s2000 can handle a tad bit better but it all comes down to the driver...
but we all know the s2000 will win because it has vteccccc!

I just bought a used 02 S2000 about 4-5 weeks ago. Love it, no regrets.
If you plan on buying a bunch of parts or if you are buying a car to just go all out fast then I would not get either. I am finding out that many people who buy the "S" and put a bunch of money into I/H/E are getting minimal gains, if any, on the dyno as compared to stock. I talked to some 350 Z owners and they said they are seeing the same, I think the local club just had a dyno day.
If you do not care about being the fastest then buy the one that looks best to you, they both perform about the same. I would try to get a 02 S2000 for the rear glass window and some of the other "bugs" were worked out too. Check the top for holes, check the passenger side lower corner of the top (corner closest to the pass door/window) for the notorious wear hole. It wont leak but will tear more in the future if not addressed.
The exterior of the one your looking is probably silverstone

I’m a little biased here because I drive an 01 S2k so my choice is obvious. I would have to say it depends on what you are planning to do with it. If your going to drag race keep your Lightning. If your dead set on getting one of the 2 cars and want to drag race I’d say the 350Z is probably for you as it has more TQ down low in the powerband and probably is easier to launch. The S2k is not a Drag racer what so ever. From a roll though I’d say they are dead on even. My experiences running 350’s in the S I’ve either stayed even or pulled them just a TIT bit.
I drove both when I looked at the S2k and to me the steering feedback/feel in the S is tighter, it handles better, the ease of getting the rear end sideways and back in line in the S was linear, just perfect no talk back. The convertible was the selling point after those, I just wanted a “Roadster” style sports car and the 350 at the time didn’t have that. To this day I still think the S2k just looks better as a convertible then the 350 does. I also can’t complain about the sound of VTEC kicking in at 6k rpm’s up to 9k rpm’s with an intake, very nice….
This all my opinion nothing more. I like both cars but personally the S2k was more fun to drive and just felt perfect to ME. I wasn’t looking for a drag racer, just something FUN and the S2k did that for me more than the Z did.
