again I say I'm not impressed. lets take the SRT4 for example, instead of the QR25. The SRT is a 2.4L and makes the HP it should with its stock setup. The ION's setup on the other hand only makes about 200HP. there's no reason it shouldn't be making that same 240WHP stock. Or is there? <which is my point.
And I am well aware of the quality of the ECOTEC engine.
just some friendly thoughts.

At any rate, I don't think that Saturn did a good job to compete with stuff like the SRT. It was a good idea, it just didn't measure up.

Alright, I'm gonna try this one more time, damn PC
!
The ECOTEC comes in severial different flavors. 1.8L hp?, 2.0L Turbo hp?, 2.0L Supercharged 205hp, 2.2L 140hp n/a and 2.4L w/ VVT 174hp n/a. I might even be missing some. So all the ECOTEC's are the same block. Which means same Engine (NOT MOTOR
!) they just have different bores & strokes. The GM engineers built the Red Line engine (not motor) to have enough powah (for it's application), be very reliable over a long period of time & they also knew people would "hop" it up a bit. So all that went into the design of the 2.0L s/c engine (not motor). *not knockin the SRT* Lets take an SRT at 50k and then a Red Line at 50k and lets see who had the least probs. I don't wanna start a debate on this (cause I know the SRT engine (not motor) is also very strong), but for how long?
These Engineers are purdy darn smart, they have had lots of schooling and get paid the BIG $ for a reason. Otherwise, GM, Ford, Dodge, Etc.. would be here in Tampa asking how to build cars and Engines (not motors).
Oh yeah, can ya tell I have a pet peave about the Engine thing!
IT's AN ENGINE PEOPLE! NOT A MOTOR! Do you know the difference?

Don't get to excited there blue
. The commercial your buddy just saw was for the Red Line VUE. That uses a 3.5L V-6 w/ 250hp and 242tq. *looks around* psst hey, it's a Honda engine. Shhhh!
The Red Line Vue uses the same Engine as the regular V-6 VUE. Basicly the Red Line VUE is more of and appearance package (body kit, lowered, 18's). Looks HOT though!
