The guys that built the bottom end said i didnt need a break in... But after many many many hours of building it and putting it back into the car Im not going to take any chances.. I dont feel like pulling another engine any time soon.

YEah the msd would be fool proof

my engine had the same compression and leak down after 5 minutes of high idling as it did after 1000 miles of driving. I drove easy for the first 40 miles, only going WOT briefly twice during that time. Break-ins are over rated.

although it is a big differenve from a 4 banger to a v8 i was told to wait for a thousand miles. well i couldnt hold back and i was at the trac with about 230 miles beating on it. and now im up to 25k miles. motor runs like a champ.

moral is, BEAT THAT MOTOR TO THE FUCKING GROUND!

From the day I took the camaro for a test drive till the day I drive it today and for ever I have and will continue to beat the living shit out of that motor. Break in is for pussies, drive it like you stole it. To me a motor can be like a horse, if you ride it everyonce in a while and dont "beat it" then when you try to it will freak out and not preform like you want it to. Now if you ride a horse everyday and you ride it hard it will live for it. Sure it might die eventually but just buy another one and use the glue from the old one as a sign for the 2nd one to see what he shouldnt do so he doesnt end up the same way.

you don't get the point of breaking in. It is the seat the rings, valves. The metal has to go through a heat cycle a bunch of them.

No no your all wrong. The break in is for me. Ive been driving a honda for 3 months. Im not use to the power yet :o !!!

No i love my honda, without it i couldnt mod my Z. The Z is kinda prissy.. she likes to be pampered. Needs her beauty rest before riding out.
