99 GSX will have low mileage probably...if you take care of it, it'll take care of you. Its the ricers that break them left and right, or the previous owners that didnt know they need care.

I will get a check for around $4200, and I need a new car. I want your help deciding where to shop, what to get.. etc.. I want your input. Here's what I can tell you:

-I want my payments to be around $200 a month. no higher then $230ish. I figure that caps the new car value at around $11000 after my $4000 down payment. So around $15-16,000

-I want a semi-low milage sporty car, preferable an import. Preferably a Nissan. (any low milage B14 SE-R's out there!?!?!)

-I want something quick, I'm not looking for the slowest car on the market anymore. I wan't some oomff!!

-I don't really want a car w/ an engine swap and major custom shit. Not the right time from that. Factory oomff is a plus. But all ideas will be considered.

-Think SE-R, GSR, SI, don't think I can afford a WRX (haven't found any used to compare..) something quick, something proven, something reliable.

You take it from there. Give me your suggestions TR. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!
So by fast you mean 15's? with the cars you listed. if i on the other hand wanted something fast for that much id get a 98+TA / Camaro or a 99+ GT and start in the 13's rather then 15's.......

Hell, you could probably get a 01-02 WS6/SS for that price... seems like a no brainer to me.

Well a 2000 ws6 retails around 17k .. not very uncommon to find a descent deal out there. I've seen them.

20k for an 02gt is a rip, 16 is right at its retail value.

i've found 98-99 Camaro Z28's and SS's for like $10-12k...13's for cheap, and a lighter payment....99 GSX's are cool, but going to be expensive, if you treat it good, it will treat you good, the 99 is one of the least trouble free years, including the mysterious dissappearance of crankwalk

how about getting a crx. lol. but use that or less then half and swap it out and have a fun little car to drive around. That would be more then enough to swap it have a nice car. Be fast. And very easy to maintain.

or how about a nissian 240 and use that money and swap it over to a sr20?
