Help me pick!
My insurance co. told me today that my '98 200SX was declared a total loss. (it was stolen and recovered last week)
I will get a check for around $4200, and I need a new car. I want your help deciding where to shop, what to get.. etc.. I want your input. Here's what I can tell you:
-I want my payments to be around $200 a month. no higher then $230ish. I figure that caps the new car value at around $11000 after my $4000 down payment. So around $15-16,000
-I want a semi-low milage sporty car, preferable an import. Preferably a Nissan. (any low milage B14 SE-R's out there!?!?!)
-I want something quick, I'm not looking for the slowest car on the market anymore. I wan't some oomff!!
-I don't really want a car w/ an engine swap and major custom shit. Not the right time from that. Factory oomff is a plus. But all ideas will be considered.
-Think SE-R, GSR, SI, don't think I can afford a WRX (haven't found any used to compare..) something quick, something proven, something reliable.
You take it from there. Give me your suggestions TR. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Well for that price range and no swaps or anything, maybe a 99 GSX?

thanks much.. great ideas keep em rolling...
keep in mind I have about $15-$16,000 to work with
I have a $4000 down payment, and I'd be financing the other $10,000 or so.
GSX-GST would be sweet. But wouldn't it be high milage and high maintenance (DSM
)
240 would be what I would buy in a perfect world, but im not ready to work on a car build a SR etc.. what do you think.. can I hit XAT or SS and pick up a reliable 240 w/ low milage SR20??
I think any M3 I find would be a little too high milage for me to feel comfortable owning. I put a lot of miles on my cars.
