You would put up a fight until you stepped on the gas and felt some REAL horsepower... at which point you would either pass out, or wreck....

I can not sit down and watch it for more than a few minutes at a time depending on the track. Sears point, walkins glenn and Bristol are races that I might be able to watch the whole race.

I agree though, finding enough excitement to sit in front of your tv for 3 hours and watch cars drive around in circles isn't exactly what I would call a good time.

20+ lead changes and 20+ cars finishing within a few seconds of each other after 500 miles is as exciting as any other sport. I'm not trying to get any of you to watch, just trying to give you a perspective.

Let's analyze NFL games. *yawn*

The NBA is just as bad

I like the nitch market motorsports has. Granted, I don't get to see as many races as I'd like but if it had the fan following the NFL or NBA has it would be bastardized and ruined just like they have been.

You are right. That is the way all pro sports are. It is not about the sport...but the money. No one cares who wins or loses, just how much money can be made from the sporting event.

I just got back from driving Texas Motor Speedway last weekend - I have to say it is pretty damn wild driving the banking - passing someone on the high side doing 110 - big pucker factor and wild as hell looking down on them! Unless you have done it - I see no way you can have an appreciation for it. Pretty wild shifting through the corners and feeling the car hunker down the faster you go. 135 was fast enough for me - I can't imagine 180...
