If its not loosing water it could be a bad thermostat, clogged radiator or bad water pump impeller. If its loosing water but its not leaking it anywhere it could be blown headgasket or cracked head.

That's probably where all my coolant is going. Damn headgaskets.

The only water I have to be concerned about in my preferred car is in the window washer.

the car is a 2001, how could the headgasket be bad,ill check the oil for coolant, the seal around the water pump looks damp but it looks like the oil from the small valve cover gasket leak.

I think if a valve cover gasket leaks and the waterpump gasket isn't sealing properly, a failing headgasket in a 2001 isn't too far fetched.

ok i drove the car for 10 min and it got close to 200 degrees. theres no coolant in the oil. but i have no tools at my apt to take anything apart to see if where its leaking.theres a steady drip from underneath near the compressor bracket..if theres somone in the brandon area that could help after i get off of work tomorrow that could bring some tools that would be great. when i get paid i could pay you some money or buy you some beer.you can call me684-1953.thanks,,,,joe..
