what brand of MBC is it?

some mbc's are very hard to, set to the right psi that you want.

Stepper motors, wiring, electronics, a sensor, and more vaccuum lines definitely sounds much less complicated than a ball, spring & screw...

LOL... the profec B has been proven over and over in tests (aka sport compact car & turbo magazine) , respected by dyno tuners (ask John at SS and Enthalpy), and proven on many people's cars (I know many people on TR have the profec B and B stage II).

It dosent spike like a ball and spring does, the "locking screw" dosent get loose and all of a sudden your running higher boost, you dont have to open the hood to adjust it, its not THAT expensive (used profec B's can be had under $200), and its easy to tune quickly for changing conditions (gas, weather, or others).

Putting a manual boost controller on a 1998 supra TT.. Is like leaving your 2 year old daughter with a bad day care...

funny thing, is that alot of the extremely high horsepower supra guys on SF, are running hallman mbc's, rich hit it dead on the nuts...i had a profec B, and liked it, however, if i were to be running a very high horsepower car, i'd try and keep it as simple as possible...different strokes for different folks

i've actually seen a decent degree of success with those, for every rotation you make with the screw, it adds or subtracts 1 psi of boost, and seems to be pretty accurate
