i did a search and didnt find anything... anyone know?

my friend said he beat one in his explorer sport..

 

I looked them up, you must not have been searching the right way.

The first 2 sites I went to ... one said 14.5 @95.6 and the other said 14.5@96

0-60 5.9 on both of the sites.

 

so in other words..friggin SLOW!

 

Pretty much ... and if you figure in a poor driver with a bad launch, 15s are definately in reach, so your friend definately had a chance against an rx-8 in say a 0-60 dash.

 

They suck and they are slow why would someone ever buy one?

 

Because they think it looks cool I guess .. I'd rather buy 2 3rd gen rx-7's.

Yea, I always hear people "oh man that new rx-8 is soo much better than the rx-7" first thing I think... Ricer. The Rx-7 is 100% better than the Rx-8. hands down -Ben

 

yeah that was me in the explorer... he was revving at me at a light .. and he had neons on it.. i laughed at first.. then he launched so i decided to, and i took him to about 65ish or whenever i hit 3rd and then i let off because my truck is a dog around then.... he kept going , ricer fly by... and got pulled over about 5 miles down the road.. best night of my life.... haha

 

I dont remember where but I saw that they are coming out with a MazdaSpeed RX-8, maybe this one will cure the lack of power?


Also, if the guy you raced had an auto (even tho I doubt it) they come with less power.
