They both work off of the principle that they use something other than the engines belt to turn the turbine like a supercharger does.
Electric actually does have a loss, its draining your battery that much more therfore making the alternator work more and therefore reducing power to the engine . Turbochargers use exhaust,wasted gas,used material to make power and therefore they do not at all , not even 1 bit, use power to make power.I am sorry, you probably got negative 10 hp from putting that shit on your car man.It couldn't possibly keep up with the airflow of a decently cracked butterly valve in the throttle body.

Yeah, this comes up every once in a while. That thing is so useless, one post actually had people that made the equivelent of that electric turbo and popped it on a car. Like you said, the car LOST top end power.
