Default Anyone know about Automotive Machining technology on Florida Ave?

Im going to get my engine rebuilt.. Its a lt1 small block.

I want to know if you'd recommend them or have had any experiences with them.
Engine is getting all new guts on the inside.

Why them? Is Engine Lab too expensive for ya?

Friend suggested them after talking to them and seeing how well set up the place was.. Ive heard of engine lab but know nothing about them.

I can tell you after working in an automotive machine shop for years that the people running the place are more important than the equipment.

Fortunately the guys at EL have both top notch equipment, experienced machinists and assembly people and a very nice facility.

I would reccomend that you visit engine lab at 201 S. 78th Street in Tampa before you make up your mind.

I have been in Tampa only a few years and I have heard a couple other horror stories about the NAPA shop and nothing but good stuff about engine lab.

I used Engine lab to bore out my B18 block when I spun a bearing in it. Top not work, and pretty decent turn around time. Awesome, clean facility, and they'll even give you a tour of how things work

ive been there twice so far and both times they have done good work. had a b16 block line bored and had wiseco pistons pressed on gsr rods. both had awesome turnaround times too
