Default power?

Do you think a jeep 4cylinder 4x4 will be able to go through mud with 40" tires with no motor upgrades just flowmasters and a chip

my opinion it won't go through any mud barely even asphalt

Yep, what they lack in torque, they make up in gearing, just don't expect any big speed out of them. A friend of mine had a newer 4 banger, and we drove it through, up, and over all kinds of shit. You didn't specify how much mud, but as long as it's reasonable, my answer's yes.

are you thinking of playing in the mud pits at the lakeland speedway? you may do just fine with some smaller tires.
