that jeep will have no truble geting through mud, the 4cyl's make up for a lack of power with the gearing to back it up. my frind had a older 4cyl jeep and never got stuck. they won't get going very fast but can crawl through almost anyhting

You people ARE reading the part about 40" tires right? You guys must have ALOT of faith in the gearing of that thing.
That motor is the same as in the Dodge Shadow. That wasn't a speeder. Putting it in a heaver jeep with shittier gearing than you can possibly imagine does not equal a recipe for a mud truck.

i guess a big factor in this equation is whether or not he is going to have to drive this everyday or just tow it to wherever he is going mudbogging.

with the right gearing it will be fine, dont listen to these mofo's. here is a pic of my brothers 4cylinder toyota. it has 38 inch tires, has never got stuck, moves through the mud fast, and he can roast the tires on the street or mud. he can do dounuts on pavement with no problem with these big ass tires. this pic makes the truck look smaller than it is, my brother in the pic is 6'4" to give you an idea. truck also has a 9 inch lift.

You're just supposed to talk up whatever you do know as if you're a salesman for it. i.e. I drive a Supra and a Corolla therefore 2JZ is the greatest and so is the 4A and I don't care about anything else because it's all crap since I don't have it. I'd say thats alot of tire for a stock Jeep, but don't discount Jeeps because they are 4cyls.
