I thought the criteria was 6-8k? I just checked autotrader, and there were 3 Impala SS's in that price range within 200 miles, one's wrecked, one's got 162,000 miles, and one's a clone. That's why I recommended a Roadmaster or Fleetwood. Same basic platform, thousands less. I can find you a decent mileage Fleetwood probably in the 6-7k range, probably less. I'll give the Impala's the style points, but up on a lift, or under the hood, they're all the same

Lexus LS 400. I used to own one untill it got totaled by a dodge ram. Has to the best car i ever had. I grew up with my family owning lots of Mercedes and this car blows then away. Fit,finish, quality and dealer service can not be beat not to mention you are getting a car that was over $50 grand new. I owned a 91 and it drive just like the brand new ones. i drove many when my car was being serviced.

I had a '93 for a little while, they are nice cars, but I would be afraid to have one serviced, looked like it could be expensive, Ron?

c'mon....

MAXIMA- fun, fast, roomy, reilable, muscular, nice handling, nice interior, decent price range, and plenty to choose from, getting a nice one should be a matter of just looking for one.

I wouldn't recommend a german car as they are going to be sub-par for 6-7 G's. you dont want a sub-par german car.

I hope the newer ones are better, I've had two 93-94 maxima's and they both needed tranny's when I got them.

... btw, your not going to find a 94-95 impala ss in good shape for less than 12-13k at best.

Have you ever ridden in a cadillac or impala ss or even a roadmaster?

well i wouldnt be worried about domestic reliablity since i have owned one, both import and domestic can be reliable cars just the import parts will cost more. But id get a GS300, Cadillac, or Maxima if it were me.

I have Funny thing is the MSRP of my car is actually $2355 higher than an Impala, and mine's not even a Limited or a Cadillac Fleetwood. The Impala's have a higher resale because of the collector status.
