Explain a fast 240 to the mullet
I see everyone always jumping up and down over the Nissan 240sx. Now a few years back when I was in the market for a car I drove one and while it looked "pretty" it was averge slow. Felt slower than my old 200sx. The numbers are not that impressive:
So do these things take boost well? Need a motor swap? Whats the deal?
Thanks
2.4-liter DOHC 16-valve 4-cylinder engine yields 155 hp at 5600 rpm. And the 160 lb.-ft. of torque at 4400 rpm
Thanks

Seroiusly though, I personally think ***zips up flame suit *** that the 240 became the new Civic bandwagon. People realized that it's a pretty cheap car to build up and you have the advantage of RWD which I don't care what anyone says is far superior for drag racing. The N/A 240 is pretty slow but with a swap and a turbo it makes decent power.
Enthalpy on the board if I'm not mistaken was making around 430whp on a stock bottom end. :o :o :o

To answer your question directly, yes you have to swap engines to achieve that kind of power.
