I've only gone to 130 in the DSM. I don't feel like doing another top-speed run until I have a lot more power and raised rev limiter. Right now it hits the 7500 limiter at just over 120 mph, I plan to rev to 9k on the next engine which should go just past 140 in fourth. The shift to 5th is just painful, it was slow going from there with the near-stockness, hopefully with twice the power by the time it's through it won't be so bad. Theoretical top speed at 7500 is 166 or something, mid-190's at 9k, but I don't think it will get up much past 160 without spraying it, which doesn't seem smart for a top-speed run.

I was with you for one of those and I remember asking you how fast we had just went and you said you didnt even want to know

As far as my car, somewhere around the 150 - 160 range and had plenty left but I didnt feel like testing it any further then that and I dont plan on doing that again anytime soon.

Only 120 here in the 442. Not bad for 34
yr old technology and 3 speeds... lol.

and ive taken my daily driver benz to 130 but the tires are only rated for that.... so the steering wheel shook like a motherfucka!

rev-limeter at 6800 in 5th gear on the spray playing with bikes.

t56 with a 3.73 so i'm guessing 165+ never really did the math but only lost to 2 out of the pack i was messing with. bikes fall on there face at about 150 unless there 1000cc or better.

Hey if you put some stickers on the side and maybe a cardbaord spoiler and aluminum foil racing stripes, I bet you could wax a McLaren F1 no problem.

147 on 275 between I-4 and waters in my merc 560, started comming up on traffic so I slowed down before i was too close. my car switches to 5th (automatiic) at 120, i was still only at 3000 the spedometer goes to 190 or 200 I dunno what top is. Ill play it safe and find out on dyno sometime..it has a dead cylender too

I havnt timed my merc but my dad has a GMC safari 4 banger and its all stock it runs 18sec 1/4. hehe beats most of the rice here. tops out at 102 though (governed)

i hit 169 on gandy one nite, i hit it at about the stop light in front of shell and let out of it on the downhill slope on the bridge. i was racing my friend on his gixxer 600

Finally I can post on this here thread. On Saturday, coming back from certain "spots" in Tampa, I was cruisin on the Courtney Campbell towards Clearwater. About halfway through the causeway, I saw blue lights coming up on me pretty fast, so I dowshifted to 4th and let it all out. Turns out it was a 1.8T Golf and it was bustin a good 130mph until I caught up with him.

I ended up taking my car to 140mph and had to shutdown for some traffic. Funny thing is, for a near stock SE-R, I could've pushed it to 150...

All this on H rated BF Goodrich's...
