My first NASCAR race!
This past thursday I went to the Gatoraid twin 125's with 10 of my FD buddies. What a great time. I have been to Daytona before for the superbike race during bike week and there was maybe only 20,000 people there. On thursday there must have been 200,000 people there. What a great show! The track is so big the cars don't look like they are going as fast as they are. If you walk down by the fence it's a whole different story. All I can say is I will be back next year.

We've gone to the Pepsi 400 a couple of times, went to see the practice sessions, etc which is nice because security isn't very tight and you can get up close to the fence when they come by off of turn 4... it's sweet..
Good times though! Glad you enjoyed it!

^^^ I also been to the Pepsi 400 (the first night one at that) an awesome experience and I agree everyone should atleast walk down to the fence to feel them fly by. If I get a chance I'll be at another NASCAR event
yeah, the pepsi 400 as a lot of fun. my uncle and i stood next to the fence for a couple of laps and the experiance was fun as shit. i got pelted with rubber a couple of times but its all good

It is a great time, I have been to a lot of Nascar races but I doubt there was 200,000 on a Thursday. Most twin 125's get 75,000 or so. Going tomorrow to the Daytona 500 with garage passes.
To bad so many on here think Nascar is completely redneck and no fun to watch because it is far from that in person.

Bar none the best race I've ever seen is the night race in Bristol. We sat in row 1 seats 1-2 in Turn 3. With the amazing banking of that place, even row 1 has a killer view of the whole track because you're still way up in the air. Watching all the beating and banging going on, and the brakes glowing as the dive into the turns. After that race, I can't stand going to Daytona for that snooze fest.
I have been to quite a few Nascar races also, the first one was at Watkins Glen in 1986, the first year they returned there, also 2 years ago. Been to the 500 about 4-5 times and to Talladega twice. Also Pocono and Dover.
I wish anyone that talks crap about Nascar would go to a superspeedway. To see it live is a whole different story:o
