I agree with the different rims for the car and it would be badass. If your planning on this setup making 500 at the flywheel I wouldn't see why 11s would be a problem. Should only take around 375-400hp to the rear wheels to hit 11s if you have a good amount of traction.

ya, tires and rims got to go. a 290-50-15 will fit in the wheel wells. i'm thinking of getting caltracs too. just hope i can get the motor under the hood. it's going to be close. the indy intake is 6 3/4 inches tall. i'm not going to put softer front springs and drag shocks in the car, so getting the frontend up could be a problem.

around 3100-3200 lbs off the show room floor. i'm going to get it weighted when it's done. well now that i think about it. i think i'll take it and get it weighted this week. so i'll have before and after.

VERY NICE! Congrats...great choice of car, dare to be different! I disagree about the AMC comments...I think they tried to be a different kind of car company. They did offer some unique vehicles all the way up until thier eventual buyout.
Anyway...great looking ride. And yeah....get rid of those pep-boys wheels. Those things are hideous. haha!

hey. i like those rims. but the tires i want won't fix on them so they have to go. i might buy a 69 amx this week. if i do, the 401 will go in it.
