Yea but when laws are stiffer for racing than a BE something is wrong!!

 

Really If i wanted to race somebody im not dumb enough to do it in 5 o' clock traffic with people around. I dont go racing everyone I see I dont think Ive ever seen anyone racing down the street when im just driving i rarely never hear about people getting killed from street racing I just dont get why its such a big deal. I think that there are bigger things in life then going 80 down a street then slowing down.

 

maybe the BE needs to be stiffer also. i see people racing all the time. people die everyday from these antics. there are bigger things in life than racing but you should not endanger others to get your "fix". i have raced probally more vechicals than are on this site and gone faster than 90% of the people here. i love racing. are you gonna go masterbate in the middle of a mall?
no,why, because there is a time and place for every thing and racing belongs on the track where the only people we hurt are our own stupid asses. not some random joe that pulled out thinking you were doing 30 but your going 90.

 

I understand where your coming from I just dont think its as big of a deal to me i would rather have the police worry about other things.

 

they do, but this is an imediate problem(as others are) that needs to be dealt with and the more cooperation they get the sooner its over. i'm just saying racing belongs on the track and any one who disagrees should not have the PRIVALAGE of driving on PUBLIC roads. when other peoples safety dosent mean anything neither should your convience.

In law school last semester, I read a case where two guys were street racing, and one crashed and died. The court said that the guy in the car that didn't crash was responsible for the other car's accident that resultd in death because the surviving racer "egged on" the other guy to race, by giving him the race.

For what its worth, another court rejected such notion on another street racing case where one car crashed and driver died, and that court said the dead driver responible only. I dont know what the law is in Florida, but you may be liable for someone else's death just by racing them. Think about that.
