If the tires have been stored outside, mounted and in the sun I would just pick up some new cheapies to be safe.

Mine were on my Tempo for 12 years before I bought it. Garage kept, 11,400 miles, and I still replaced them. Of course, it did no high speed driving, as that is impossible in this car (;
