Yep. What happens is somebody "hears" they have them and then the word gets spread. Also the auto manufacturers will make concept vehicles to bring to the tests just as they do with auto shows. For instance for brought out a crown vic with a V10, now they won't produce it but I am sure someone somewhere is starting the rumor that the police crown vics have V10's in them.
I can remember all of the different stories people would come up with as to what Trooper mustangs had done, it made them sound like racecars.
Oh and realize that after you throw a lightbar and 200-300lbs of equipment in them they are even slower.

I can't believe they are that slow either. Even the camaro couldn't break the 14 second barrier even with a 102 trap speed. I'm disappointed
