What do you think the best/worst things about movie car chases are? I personally enjoy seeing exotic cars get wrecked as they are driven at excessive speed around city streets, with none of that nasty reality to interfere with the fun. On the downside, I get sick of seeing protagonists in high-dollar supercars being tailed by suv's, random cheap crap and police crown vics. It always reduces the enjoyment I get out of watching one of these scenes when the 500hp lamborghini is shown accelerating at WOT down an empty street with three piece-of-shit 16 second cop cars riding its ass, and watching these miracles of underpowered overweight highway cruiser technology match the sports car through high speed turns as they chase through the city.

 

I keep any knowledge of reality out of my head and enjoy the bullshit that is hollywood. I try not to think too deep about stuff, takes away from the excitement.

 

i like it when they hit the NOS and everything gets blurry.

 

I guess the new movie BS is that if you drive by something fast enough it will explode.

 

losing five hubcaps on a dodge charger kind of takes away from the realism.

 

has anyone seen the movie Bullit?..........all real chase scene, and said to be the best ever..i also agree with 900hp930

Mustang fastback -v- Dodge Charger no trick photography real speeds in excess of 110 mph in some parts, and Steve McQueen did his own driving. Best ever.

in the previews for the movie Torque , a guy on a croth rocket flys by a row of cars and all of the windows smash out. its ridiculous
