i think it is a stupid "ricer" expression heh just messing well i mean what the hell do you do when you install parts your bolting on i mean you need to use bolts when you do an engine swap I think it is a stupid way of classifying parts...

i would think a bolt on would be a mod that you can install/"bolt on" to your car or engine straight, without any other modifications needed to make it work.

But when I hear people refer to "Bolt ons" they are usually like
"oh im racing this camaro or honda with a couple of bolt ons"
soo im guessing people dont think you can get power with bolt on??
