squealing

Well sometimes my car idles at 1100 rpms and sometimes at 1000 and other times at 900 I dont know what is wrong but I think Im just gonna sell it!

I'm thinking doofalator valve. In all seriousness though, it probably is just your belt slipping until it heats up (kinda like tires) It doesn't really contract, it's just not as soft and therefore looses grip. Get a new belt. I also had a Nissan pickup that would make a howling noise for a second or two, and then the first couple of times I shifted until it warmed up. It was the throwout bearing, and it wasn't bad, it just howled on cold mornings, did it for years.

does it perhaps idle high when its cold or you have the a/c on? because that would make sense....

easy fix..... check belts and tension in the belts too much or to little can cause this more than likely its your fan belt..... DO NOT RUN HARD THROUGH THE SQEAL U WILL BREAK THE BELT! ive done it it leaves u stranded it sux

It only happens when I start it but when I downshift to go faster it has a lil squeal.

hey marty doc brown said to check your flux capacitor ............. just kidding anyway will you replace the damn belt and tell us if it fixed your problem?
