Need help choosing..
Ok I have some money to spend on a car and there are 2 im intrested in...
1 - 1993 Nissan 240SX "notch back"
It has ice cold AC, 5spd, bone stock, great condiditon (some regular wear on interior, beuthiful paint job, and 118000 Miles.
PRICE: 2500.00
2- 1994 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 LT1
it has no CD pLayer (OWENER KEPT IT), no AC (one line has a leak), paint is good besided soem cracking and wear, interior is good, has some lite mods (intake, exhaust), 6 speed. Miles 157000
3- Hold on to my money and look for a better deal.
PRICE: 4500
Here is my point of view... I really need a car and it has to be dependable, but also fun to drive... The nissan is great and looks wonderful and drives really nice.. But the Camaro is very fast looks beuthiful and would turn heads...
The Nissan has lower miles and no mods, oppose to the camaro which is really up there and has mods.. The nissan comes from a 50 year old gentleman so I know it hasnt been raced or ragged out... The Camaro comes form a younger guy and I cant say whether its been raced or not...
I just wanted someone elses opinion and maybe some help making my choice.

That is a lot of miles on the Z28 how much to they want for it? I would check with your insurance company to see how much insurance would be on both cars?
BTW I am selling my 95 Mustang GT

Why does the 93 have no CD and no AC? Was it possibly a 1LE car? Is so jump on it becaus it had a better tranny(different ratios for road racing) and an upgraded suspension.

Sorry..
The camaro is 4500
No AC becuse the ac lines leak, no cd because the owner is taking it with him... And it also has a leak in the header gasket, thats what the owner says... He said its causes a ticking noise at high acceleration.

I would wait for something else.
If I read this right it sounds like your looking for something that not only looks good and turns heads but is dependable.
Look at it this way - Do you know if the 50 yr old man was the orig. owner of the Nissan? You never know how it was taken care of from previous owners. And you know he knows people buy cars from older people because they think exactly that! Trust me looks can be deceiving!
I would try to start w/ a good base line, get a body style and make you like, and a car that you can EASILY do mods to later if you want. (I don't think theres much room under the hood w/ that LT1 Camaro?) If its only a header gasket thats wrong, why hasn't he fixed it? Remember you can put a paint job on anything and add whatever you want for a c/d player/system at anytime.
Get a factory a/c car too! It's expensive to add aftermarket and this is Florida. Do you know someone who does a/c work? maybe they can help you out if whatever you get has lines that leak.
Anyway - thats just my opinion. Check out the thread "If you could do it over again" It may help.

I agree totally..
Thats whats pulling me... On one hand the nissan is cheaper, seems to be more reliable, has less milage... But its has a lot less power... And from what I read 240's dont put out a lot even with mods unless you do a SR Swap.. And im not sure I want to get into that on my daily driver..
The other hand.. The LT1 is fast as hell right away... But it does need some work.. And it has high miles... And everyone says that the camaros start to fall apart at around 150,000 miles...
GRRR I dont know what to do.. LOL
