thought about this the other day during an enlightment session, and couldn't come up with a feasible answer...so this one is for the braniacs to take and run with

A new cam can make your engine sound different it is a bunch of different things....

heres one....a mitsubishi 4G63, between the first and 2nd generation motors, the heads, compression, and intake manifolds are substantially different, yet they still sound VERY similar...im just trying to figure out why, figure it might make for a good tech discussion too
