Automtic Vs. 5 Speed

I dunno, in my experience with racing turbocharged automatic cars, the transmission when floored from the stop cant hold in the higher rpm's where boost is created, and thus has a lot of lag. I would win because i was into boost quicker due to slipping the clutch and mainiaining higher rpm's....

The reason most automatics win is because the manual tranny owners can rarely drive thier own car anywhere near its limits, contray to what they think.

A bigger stall converter and as trans brake will fix that issue.

Auto trannies are consistent where maual DRIVERS usually are not.

def don't doubt the right auto can be faster. just can't imagine having anything other than a stick when corners get involved...love my stick shift and i haven't had any problem with any of the auto 540's.

I prefer auto because of consistency and traffic jams.People rag on me because i drive a auto crx but when i win a race its a different story.
