That sucks, but why would you try to make that car faster? It's made for luxury driving not 1/4 mile E/T's! Oh well, I guess having money makes wonder how you can waste it.

99TL, the transmissions are built to last, and easily take the boost. Many companies are making forced induction kits for Mercedes and non have ever needed to address the issue of a weak tranny. These companies include HPS, Kleemann (current record holders for fastest sedan w/ their supercharged Mercedes E55, and SUV w/ their supercharged Mercedes ML55), Lorinser, Renntech, Mosselman, etc.

 

That's just sickening to look at after all that work. Damn, to have that happen the first time out too, just horrible.

Im gonna try Bnzsport hopefully I can get some info im looking to build a 1 off turbo setup I know a lot about it and I have Maximum Boost which I found out from Supraforums that it is a really good book to get you started building turbo kits.

yo.. I just don't freaking understand... What kind of person puts an ungodly amount of hours into a car and then does not carry a fire extinguisher with him ??? I do SR swaps at Z-Fever.. I don't care how many I've done... First time any motor swap.. hell any engine that was taken out and reinstalled, rolls out those doors... I'm carrying a ABC type extinguisher. I have seen my share of disasters like this.
