whats the best gauges??
If you like the look of plain old black and white guage with an orange needle VDO also makes quality guages for about the same cost of an autometer.

I'm a little biased since all the guages in my car (with the exception of the A/F guage) are made by VDO, including the large aftermarket boost guage where the clock used to be.

what makes greddy gauges or all these other JDM gauges better?
I know autometer has been around for at least 20 years, i dont think greddy has been around that long.
I know a guy on here that had an old set of autometer gauges. he didnt want to buy a new set, so he sent them back to autometer, where they repainted and fixed them for him....THATS BAD ASS! i dont know any other company that will do that!
Is there something about them that makes those others better?

Peak hold and play back functions as well as warning light and or buzzer. But aside from the EGT gauge autometer gauges work fine and are cheaper they just dont have the functions as the elecrtic gauges like greddy or apexi do.

Some of the Autometer and VDO gauges can look and feel a bit cheaper than some of the others expensive brands but they work just as well and given a correct installation they can look almost if not just as good.
The electronic feature are nice on some of the expensive gauges like peak and replay but I would rather spend the money on a data logging system if that's what I needed.
