WRX or RSX
I have done my homework...My opinion is my opinion...Don't try to bash it because I feel how I feel..I would take an RSX-S over a WRX any day!!!! :o

I own a 02 RSX and a 02 WRX sedan. The moral of the story is that my wife drives the RSX to get groceries and when the lease is up on the RSX next year we're buying another WRX(wagon this time).
Seriously, the RSX is a little crappy Civic in nice trim. The only thing I like about the RSX is that I can shove a bunch of crap into the back(hatch back). The WRX wagon solves that problem as well. The RSX really gets no love in our family. As far as reliability we've had move problems with the granny style driven totally stock RSX than the ummm not so granny driven modified WRX. I won't even go into the customer service we recieve from Acura on a bone stock car compared to a the customer service on a Stage II WRX from Mastro. We started taking the RSX to Mastro for service btw.
The WRX does eat gas, tires and brakes though. We've had the RSX a few months longer than the WRX and the RSX is on it's original overpriced tires(look brand new) and original brake pads(look brand new). I've gone through 3 sets of tires, 3 sets of front pads and 1 set of rear pads and had the rotors turned on the WRX. I'm not even sure if my wifes RSX uses gasoline but the WRX gobbles up about $25.00 of gas durring a normal work week in it's Stage II trim. If I remember correctly I used to gobble up about $20.00 of gas in stock form.

Bleh, when all is said and done though, I go with a Subaru any day rather than run the risk of having to deal with our local Honda dealerships.

Here are some facts(this was posted not long ago):
http://money.cnn.com/2003/07/08/pf/a...lity/index.htm
The problem with these stats is that when I took my previous car(2002 Honda Accord EX V6) with less than 10,000 miles into Honda because my brakes where making noise and did operate properly. Honda wanted to charge me $500.00 for a brake job to put new pads on and turn the rotors. The same type of thing happened when the alignment was badly out of wack at 5,000(no, I didn't hit anything). A Honda warrenty situation like this would not against their statistics. We have had the same type of service issues with the Acura. I don't think Honda are bad cars but as serveral people have pointed out the customer service sucks.
You take a Subaru in and they will replace/repair anything including wearable items including brakes, clutch, wipers, etc as long it's not just blunt and stupid abuse. Any time I had to drop my car off at Subaru(Mastro) I was always offered a rental car. I don't think Subaru's are the best cars but in my experience with their customer service has been great and they are really fun cars with big load of bang for your buck.
