ford tranny's suck. they put three of them in my bullitt. the third is a tremec spec not a ford spec and i havent had any problems with it yet.

i have talked with tremec and they recommend you use syncromesh tranny fluid and stay away with synthetic(sp) with their trannys. so thats what i made ford put in mine the last time. i had to have a letter from tremec telling them to put it in there.

good luck and i am sorry to here you are having these problems i know how ford is when you have to get something replaced more then once. right now im fighting with them over my head lights.

Synthetic fluids are the death of our sycro's!!!!!!!!!!
Cheap Walmart fluid or the GM Stuff Syncromesh thats it!
I would put in a Tremec TKO if I was you its cheaper and weighs less! Or go Auto with a 4000 stall!!!!!!!!!!!!!

4000 stall would be a bit much behind Zates motor...

Corey,

Your Gimpatude saddens me. Remember this is a DOHC Mod motor they rev to 7500 rpms and they hit their torque peak higher in the RPMs than an LS1.

They rev to 7k stock Gunslinger, not 7500 rpm. But at least you understood the basic concept unlike the gimp.

Jomar,

I knew they went up into the 7k range before redline. Please understand that I was guestimating. But you are correct about me knowing more than the Gimp.
