apparently they have a new insurance policy and if u go 13.99 or faster you must have a helment. and it looks like they are enforcing it too..

A few months ago when I went after one of my runs they told me that I would need a helmet but they let me get one more run in without one.

Insurance policy and they are probably trying to get some of the larger events there, need to keep that IHRA cert if they want to do that..

Nothing new though.. Helmet needs to be Snell 95 I believe..

Hell, I've always worn my ATV helmet when I race. Some of you seen my bumble bee yellow headed ass in the staging lanes. They have never said anything to me about it. But as long as it meets the hardness minimum(which mine does) your ok. -Mark

YES they are enforcing it! and its annoying, they dont bother to check for any other safety equipment. ie...driveshaft loop with slicks!?!?!? BMP has been enforcing the helmet rule since they opened after the Christmas break.

yeah i guess thats the first time ive been since Christmas, i talked to Bob and he said that their new insurance carrier makes random appearences so from now on they are gonna enforce it throughly. they kicked me off the track for no helment and my friend Jim off for no rollcage. i guess you can still go to Lakeland and run though. I made a 6.90 pass there w/ three slicks atemp spare and no windshield once......
