Default Trans. Rebuild

I need to have my T-5 rebuilt. Where do you recommend I should take it too?

I believe it is the sycros(sp). It is hard to get it in to 2nd and sometimes will not stay in 2nd gear.

yea, it could be just the blocker rings, but if it has alot of abusive miles on it usually the sliders and gears are f'd up too. other thing is once you open it up I can bet that you'll find other things wrong, and it doesn't make sense to just fix the syncro if it needs a cluster gear kit or input shaft ect. I guess I'm just tryin to say it could get expensive. what year is the tranny? has it been rebuit before?

hate when that happens! that is expensive I can tell ya that. right there your lookin at like $600 just for parts, dependin on if its a 3.35 or 2.95 1st. if its 3.35 would you want convert to a 2.95 1st. actually, either way you need an input so the price would be about the same. I think you can get the 2.95 conversion gearset w/ input for like $450 then you need some blocker rings and a small parts kit, like another $200. anything else and its almost easier just to drop a grand and just bolt in a complete new one.
