I guess I'm just tryin to say it could get expensive. what year is the tranny? has it been rebuit before?
It is out of my 95 GT and it has about 125k hard miles on it. I dont think it has ever been rebuilt before.

I didnt drive it but maybe 600miles after I started having problems but I drove it for almost 2 years w/o using my clutch to shift(rev. matching) not to mention I think I waited to long to service it.

I'd say your best bet is to go w/ a new one then if thats the case. it probably needs alot of other parts.

i just rebuilt one for a friend of mine a few weeks ago. was kicking out of 1st and 2nd...wouldnt stay in gear for anything. cost??

D&D Performance
1st gear: $70
2nd gear: $70
rebuild kit: $159

total with shipping: $329 or something like that, and i have to say Don Walsh is one of the nicest guys i've had the pleasure to do business with.

before you buy a new one pull the tailshaft and cover off yours. check the wear on the teeth and the dogs that engage the sliders to the gears.
