4:30s are in *grin*

and oh boy.. they are cool..hehe.. Dave Piercy did a fantastic job on the install.. top notch.. he said there is some small noise from the gears.. stuffed if i can hear it.. hehe.. FMS gears.. so no real breakin period required..plus they were used..i took it easy on the way home.. didnt mash the gas too much.. but they feel really nice.. i have a usable 5th gear now.. LOl.. just not sure what 1st is for anymore..

all in all very happy

sounds good man. did you get on the highway on the way home? what rpm are you at in 5th at cruising speed(i guess around 70)? oh, and what is this?

Not hardly. At 70mph w/ 4.30's should be around 2750. I have measly 4.56's in my car and at 70 I'm at 3k. Remember Zates and my car redline at 7k!

DOod, you shouldnt hear any noise from the new gears.
if there is a noise its installed improperly,

welcome to what?..i been here almost 3 years.. lol

havent put the speed cal on yet.. but 5th @ 70 will be about 2450 (used a gear calculator for that0.. and today i was following my girl and she was doing 70.. i registered abotu 80 and 2400-2500 RPM..

no blow Mark.. going chemical.. lol.. for now.. blower = topo much $$$ .. damn Vortech kit os $200 cheaper than turbo.. i'd go turbo before Vortech for sure...

and "stuffed if i can heard it" must be an Aussie thing.. lol.

btw.. the guy who installed the new gears.. D00d ... has done many.. and said that you may hear a small amount of noise from 4.10s and higher.. he said i have next to none.. and he has a trained ear for it..

its ok though.. i'll get flowmaster cat back with 2 chambered flows that will kill and rear noise
