Thats probably the reason for the "un expected" dyno #s... you said somthing about trying new plugs or somthing if i remember correctly?

Funny thing is the A/F was checked before the last Track Day (May 2nd) and everything was right where I have always have it (13:1).

if it was only on the exhaust valves id say its cuz u got too much back pressure

I don't think those exhaust valves look too bad at all. A little white in color never hurt anyone.

What color was the bottom of the the valve?

Couldn't be cam timing because this issue just cropped up. The heads were off once before with the same cam in and this issue was non existant.

The bottom of the valves, pistons, and plugs all look good so that is why I am stumpped.

I used to tear down our Sprint car motors and never came across this.

Anyone else ?

I have taken apart plenty of motors that look similar, mostly street driven and running fine. they all looked like that , a tan/white color on the back of the valves. Did u do a leak down test before tear down?
