Ford could care less about how much we pay for insurance. All they care about is how much money they can make. And preventing another 99 fiasco, would save them from spending alot of money fixing cars not producing expected horsepower.

hopefully so car and driver would pit it against some other cars (ex. the goddamn bmw's they love so damn much) and totally ass rape them while looking all the sweeter.

I have my doubts about that... given the fact that Ford has notoriously under rated it's "special" engines since the late 60's. Look at the "from the factory" ratings for the 429 Boss, SCJ's, etc.... you'll find that most of them were seriously under rated.

In a Motor Trend article they compared the 03' Cobra to the M3. The Cobra was all over that M3.

I heard that in bad wheater the Cobra doesn't run so well. A friend of mine said that when he went to the track on a hot day(Brandenton) He said the 03' Cobra's were running low to mid 13's. Is there any truth to that statement about poor performance in bad wheather?
