Hot, muggy weather hurts performance for everyone, especially forced induction cars... but there are other factors to remember, like track prep or headwind. The blown Cobras are definitely underrated. I want one!

the way I understand it is if a manufacturer admits to 400hp then its open season on the consumer. so I think Ford is looking out for its potential customers. it sounds good to me.

I heard something about the EPA fining the car companies that produce vechiles that produce over 400 HP. There is some reason for this. L - 385, Cobra 390, Cobra R, 385. Kinda strange how 3 different engines produce so close to the same.

Why is there NO correction factor on the dyno?? Those are uncorrected numbers and the weather sensors show 0*s F and 0 humidity. That will make the graph a little tainted.

Why 405 hp on the Corvette Z06 if that was true? Why not "395" understated hp? It's not like they haven't understated the hp on some of their other engines.

I don't know about the companies being fined.. but I know the consumer is being "fined" now with the Gas Guzzler tax.
