Heads
What do you guys reccommend?
With my tax return I am thinking of getting a set and would be spending under 800 (I know not that much).
I have found a guy near Jacksonville that P&P's E7's and talked to him a few times, awesome guy.
Here is some info about them:
"Exhaust ported to Mr Gasket header gaskets, removing the EGR bump and the lower Exhaust boss, straightening the roof of the Port! Then Polished to the bowl!! Intake matched to Felpro 1250 gasket! Bowls "pocket Ported" smoothed and blended, w/attention to the short radious! Exhaust bowl polished!! 5 angle valve job to increase low lift flow at the valve which give Crisp sharp low end throttle responce!!
Heads are cleaned, mic'd, mag'd for cracks and surfaced flat!! assembled and BOLT ON READY!! FREE* Shipping... Paypal OK...$595.00 ...small core charge.. flows 219/151 @ .500"
What do you guys think?
Thanks,
Matt

im sure they r better then stock, but for $600 ur better off saving up another 2 or 3 hundred and buyin a set of aluminum heads. u can get used TFS aluminums for prolly bout $900 off corral and the gains would be MUCH better.

though for me, you'd have to change it to 10 inches, and you'd have to change inches to millimeters, and you'd have to change 10 to 5 and you'd have to change dick to poor excuse for one.

I missed out on a set of edelbrcok rpms that went for $700 shipped off the corral. had guideplates, head studs and pushrods as well. You can buy new TFS heads for $1k, just need the rockers after that. There was a set of mega ported Performer 5.0s are NMRA this weekend that the guy wanted $900 for
don't waste the money on stock heads, you'll end up replacing them in the future anyway.. I'm most likely going to be selling my canfields in the near future, although they're a little more they'd be worth it for you. Will this be a daily driven car? If so, they might not be right, .080 milled off, 54cc chambers, Full TEA CNC port job, o-ringed, flow 325@.700 and I believe 260ish exh.
just a thought

Well here is what I am looking for, a very streetable daily driven 12 sec car. There are a few people with these heads pretty close to 12's, if not in them. Plus I'd like to stay with cast iron. I would also like to stay with a small valve for better low end. And probably a b cam. Plus I'm not looking to spend a fortune. It's my 1st Stang, was pretty cheap, it's nothing special and it has about 140k on it.
vetkilr - I will look into that thank you. Plus I have a friend who said he can find me some good deals around Tampa.
racingtheburg - I believe these outflow power heads by a small margin.
And everyone, thank you for your responses.

You arent going to lose low end flow at all with smaller valves.

I'll see if I can find that info about the flow #'s. And I know I wouldn't lose low end with smaller valves, that's a reason I want to stay with smaller valves.
