Question Need Opinions

I was thinking of saving my money and getting a 99+ GT. Although I was told by some friends of mine to keep my car since its paid off and drop a carbed 302. (Clean the "whiteout" off you screen Scott ) What do your guys think I should do, keep my car and do a new motor or just get a new car?

Motor=carbed 302 and lots of labor.

Car=99+ Blue or Mineral Gray GT.

Carbed? You could also put contact point ignition in it while you are at it.

build a motor and put it in your car, even if it's not a carb'd motor you will still be ahead by using your existing chassis.
depends on what your overall goal is, figure that out first and then go from there.

I was thinking a stock 90-92 motor with a carb setup with a 5spd. Ive got a V6 AODE and not sure how to swap all this over myself. My main consern would be the guage cluster working properly and the pedels for the 5spd.

got a buddy that has a 302 shortblock for sale for $400. also, call a reputable shop and talk to them about what it would take.
as for the gauge cluster I can't answer that, but I figure it would have to do with the wiring harness and it's connections, but I don't think it'd be a problem as people do it regularly.

i'll have to disagree here ....

i think that sounds like a great price...... and if your going to do a build up anyway.. you have everything you need .....

going with that route would be the cheaper than your other two options......

motor, tranny, suspension, rearend swap into your car would cost like 8k to do it all right....

and a new mustang would be great for a daily driver.. but still cost more than the 95 buildup would!
