what do you mean please dont. my gt's stock hood with that lame non functional hood scoop, is not only heavy, but it serves no purpose. a carbon fiber hood not only weighs less, and looks better, but if i can find one thats a ram air hood, i could atually make that part of the hood functional also. dont dissaprove on things just because you dont like the way it looks, i happen to like the carbon fiber look.

Just because it is constructed of carbon fiber, it does not mean it is the lightest available. Remember that the vast majority are carbon fiber over a fiberglass understructure. Cervini and other companies offer high quality fiberglass hoods with various sized cowls and different hood scoops. Check out one of the latest MM&FF or 5.0 magazines for various ads and whatnot.

I cant stand it with they put things on a car that are not functional. The fiberglass isnt that heavy. There are lots of differet ram air fiberglass hoods available for mustangs and I am sure that there is someplace you can have a carbon fiber hood fabricated for the car the way u want but it will most likely be very costly

the weight diff between glass and CF wouldnt be enought for u to even notice...better off goin with a fiber glass one, they have prolly a hell of a lot more styles to choose from, itll be alot cheaper prolly..and a fiberglass hood, well...wouldnt be ricey and gay . <--JMHO

it's funny that you guys think Carbon Fiber hoods are ricey...
the difference in weight between a carbon fiber hood and a fiberglass hood is tremendous, but if you want the weight reduction you'll pay for it..
Most of what you see on cars running around on the streets are just fiberglass hoods coated with the carbon fiber itself..

FYI.. a real Carbon fiber hood that was made is $$$, you ever see the one that sat on the red cobra @ fordspeed? want to say it cost $1500.. (Joe correct me if i'm wrong no that..)
don't waste your money man, just get a fiberglass hood..
