I have a 99 Cobra. Basically stock, with just a shifter and home made old air. Car went 12.9's with a 1.74 60 ft" no live axle here. And I don't need a blower to run 12's

The Roush's are ok in my opinion. Overpriced for the performance you get out the box, imho. Heavy Just like the Saleen, running 13's with the roots s/c. Cobra's run better without paying $40,000 for a body kit and rims. Do Roush's even come with upgraded brakes or suspension?

Damnit Man first I was part of an old foggy group that never drives over the posted speed limit and now I have an overpriced car compared to the ALMIGHTY COBRA.PPLLLEEEAAAASSSEEEE !!!!!!!!!!! My Roush can out run bottom end,top end,in the middle,around corners,over hills and in valleys damn near any stock production car within 20,000 dollars of its 54,000 price tag.The only other cars that come close are the Z06 and Viper..
Wher else can you get a car that can run low 12s in the 1/4,top out at 170ish(because I got scared),corner like a freakin Go-cart,and ride almost as smooth as glass (except over Railroad tracks).

Venomiss:Have you ever driven a Roush Stage 3,Z06,or a Viper.Well Ive driven 2 out of 3 of them and also drove a 99 Cobra.I wouldnt trade in my 92 Jeep Cherekee for a Stock Cobra(2003 excluded).Yes with Mods 99-01 Cobras can runreally good MUDGUTS is proof of that but really the IRS is sub par to any other on the planet in the 99s and the 327 gears that come in your car from the factory remind me of driving my old stock 98gt when it had 273s in it.Simply put why even say anything about a car you obviously know nothing about,at all???????
Go down to Brandon Ford and ask Jackie to take you on a test drive in a 2003 Roush Stage 3 and then come back on here and tell me again about how overpriced it is out of the box for the performance you get.

Whoa...take it easy there with your Jack ass Roush. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion right? Honestly, I have no desire to test drive a Roush stage 1, 2 or 3. It may be your thing, but it does nothing for me, sorry.

Corner like a go cart, that's a negative. Stock for Stock, the Cobra will outhandle hands down. Low 12's out the box you say, but obviously your not even hitting 12's yet with mods! Another thing 170mph......take a look at your speedo, it says 150

It takes skill to drive an IRS especially launching it out the hole. Show me your best 60 ft? One BIG difference between a Roush, Viper and a Z06 as you mentioned as examples above is that a Roush is the only car out of those 3 that does not have an independant rear suspension. So please don't compare your stock live axle to that level of handling performance. Unless it's modified highly to handle like an IRS. I just got one thing to say........"Steeda Q" fear it! Just my 2 cents. No flames.

But if you knew anything about a Roush except the price tag which you obviously dont then you would not have said anything you just did,because none of it and I mean NONE OF IT is factual.
IRS stand for : IT REALLY SUCKS.
The only thing they are good for is railroad tracks and that is it...

Believe it or not they are other cars besides 99 Cobras and drag racing isnt that hard with one if you have slicks(Corvettes perfect example)

There is no way in hell that your car made a 1.74 60 time on street tires with a IRS Cobra PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!So obviously you have more mods then previously stated.You think it is hard to launch with an IRS try launching with 360 ftlbs of torque at 2500 rpms on street tires..with a Roush handling package...part of the 40,000 dollar package so you say that Roush over charges for my car.And the Stage 3 package is only a 25,000 add on...and let me make you a little wiser today.

The Kit includes:
Supercharger package-intercooled
Suspension package
Chrome 18x9 with Performance Tires
Alcon 4 piston stop on a time brakes
Cool as hell dash with a green glow :o
Tuning that is better than Ford themselves do. 90,000 points of tuning Saleen changes 200 points with thier tuning, Roush over 7,000...
Ground effects package
Side exhaust
Custom leather seats

Of course if you bought everything you could save money but getting all of this and making it all work together in perfect harmony is much harder than it sounds. And I have a 36mo/36,000 mile warranty!
Cobras in 99 went for $30,000-$32,000 so for 20,000 more Ive got a hell of a deal. No Flames!!!

I was there when it happend. But it was done on Nittos, and road race suspension. And your 360tq is useless at the track unless you can put it to the ground. To each their OWN3D!!!
